On the occasion of the International Day for Biological Diversity<\/strong> invited the SonneSammeln initiative on 21 May 2026<\/strong> to the Webinar \u201eBats in the solar park - What the monitoring in Bad Liebenwerda (Brandenburg) shows\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0a. Numerous participants listened to the presentations by Antje G\u00e4rtner (BayWa r.e.)<\/strong> and Dr Alexander Paul (PfAU Landscape Planning)<\/strong>. The many questions could not be dealt with in full for reasons of presentation - they will be subsequently answered in writing<\/strong> and made available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Background<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bats can use solar parks as Part of their habitats <\/strong>use. The facilities serve them due to the rich food supply<\/strong> regularly as Hunting ground<\/a><\/strong>. Numerous studies show that bats do not generally avoid solar parks, but accept them differently depending on their location and design.
In the webinar, the Biologist Dr Alexander Paul<\/strong> about his investigations in the Brandenburg Bad Liebenwerda solar park<\/a><\/strong>, in which, as part of the nationwide field study \u201cBiodiversity in the solar park<\/a><\/strong>\u201d has recorded bats in 2024.
The webinar is then opened for questions from participants via the chat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The international day of action to promote nature conservation and biodiversity was introduced by the UN in 2000 and is based on the international UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD)<\/strong>. It is becoming increasingly important and urgent to protect biodiversity and promote sustainable measures to increase biodiversity. In the Preservation of the ecosystem<\/strong> of our earth can Solar parks make an important contribution<\/strong> to perform. 
About the Initiative SonneSammeln<\/strong> are organised annually on the occasion of the Events and webinars on the topic of biodiversity in solar parks <\/strong>offered. You can find more information on our website<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
