The event attracted around 80 participants on site and reached more than 900 viewers in the livestream. Over 200 questions from the chat clearly show the broad public and professional interest in the topic. You can find out more about the conference in our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sonne-sammeln.de\/en\/rueckblick-bne-fachkonferenz-artenvielfalt-im-solarpark-alle-vortraege-jetzt-verfuegbar-27-03-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Review<\/a>.<\/strong> The recordings of the study publication in German are now on SonneSammeln in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sonne-sammeln.de\/en\/biodiversitaet\/mediathek-zur-studie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Media centre for the study<\/a><\/strong> available. We are currently working on an English translation of the study results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lecture 5: Planning-relevant information from the study (only in German)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How should solar parks be planned so that they become species-rich? The <strong>Soil quality <\/strong>increases, as neither pesticides nor fertilisers are introduced. Existing structures should be included.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Extensive utilisation<\/strong> of the area leads to a <strong>Increasing biodiversity<\/strong>. The number of arthropods in particular will rise sharply as a result.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Biodiversity development in ground-mounted PV systems<\/strong> does not require any specific additional measures to take place. However, such measures can have a supporting effect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Care is crucial<\/strong>It must be adapted to the location, be timed according to the weather and take into account the requirements of special species protection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Looking at the definition of the <strong>Nature conservation in the Federal Nature Conservation Act<\/strong>then solar parks are at best a <strong>minimal intervention <\/strong>represent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Skylarks<\/strong> breed in solar parks, sometimes even in very large numbers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bats <\/strong>actively use solar parks as a feeding habitat. For bats, a solar park is a significant improvement compared to arable land.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Come <strong>Reptiles <\/strong>If they occur in the vicinity of an installation, it can be expected that they will also accept the solar park as a habitat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Download the study (German)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can read all the results of the study on SonneSammeln.
