How can the Energy transition <\/strong>profitable with a sustainable agricultural utilisation<\/strong> connect? This question was at the centre of the research project \"<\/strong>Agricultural value of solar parks<\/strong><\/a>\"<\/strong>which was developed by Dr Dina Hamidi<\/strong> (University of G\u00f6ttingen) and Dr Christoph H\u00fctt <\/strong>(University of Cologne). Answers to these and other questions are provided by the new research report<\/strong> to the project, the available from today<\/strong> is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report first provides information on Background<\/strong> and Need for research<\/strong> and shows why solar parks are equally relevant for the energy transition and agriculture. Subsequently, the central research questions<\/strong>that interdisciplinary team<\/strong> and the Experimental design<\/strong> including various solar parks, zones under and between the modules and reference areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One focus is on the Methodology:<\/strong> classic grassland surveys, soil sensors, feed and ingredient analyses are carried out with innovative 3D LiDAR scans <\/strong>which even cover the areas under the modules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the current status of the ongoing analyses is outlined and the direction in which the scientific journey continues is shown - with an overview already published articles<\/strong> and a Outlook for upcoming publications<\/strong>. The Research results <\/strong>are published on 11 March 2026 as part of a Specialist conference in Berlin<\/a> and via livestream<\/strong> presented, flanked by a versatile programme<\/strong>: One Panel discussion<\/strong> with experts from agriculture, the energy industry and nature conservation, as well as inspiring lectures <\/strong>on topics such as microclimate, ecosystem services and regulations. The Event will be recorded <\/strong>and then to SonneSammeln<\/a><\/strong> made available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
