On the occasion of the International Day for Biological Diversity invites you to the SonneSammeln initiative on 21 May 2025 warmly to the Webinar "Solar parks - hunting grounds for bats" a. The webinar will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 online will take place. Participation is free of charge.  

The webinar will be recorded and - like our Webinars on Biodiversity Day from 2024 - published on SonneSammeln and the bne YouTube channel. Further webinars on the topic of biodiversity in solar parks and a Explanation of the study results on bats you will find in our Media centre for the study "Biodiversity in the solar park".

Bats have long found habitats in man-made structures such as barns, church towers and roofs. Today, bats are also learning to cope with solar parks. They also offer a rich food supply. In the webinar, the biologist reports Dr Helmut Schlumprecht about his experiences with bats in solar parks. His presentation will be followed by a Moderated discussion on common questions and reservations regarding this species group. Finally, the webinar will be opened for further questions from participants via the chat.
