Salzwedel Fuchsberg solar park
ENERPARC AG's Salzwedel Fuchsberg solar park is located south-east of the town of Salzwedel. The first construction phase was completed in April 2016. The third construction phase will follow in 2024. The facility measures 18.5 hectares. A special feature is the chessboard pattern in which the module tables were arranged. The site consists of narrow areas between the rows of modules as well as regularly laid out strips of open land approximately ten metres wide running east-west. Wide gravel paths run in a north-south direction.

Natural environment and special features
Wendland and Altmark
Directly to the north of the plant is a gravel pit, which is a few metres deeper than the solar park. A mixed forest borders the solar park to the south, west and north. Only a gravel path separates the forest area. The remains of an abandoned military base can be found there. A small industrial estate is located 500 metres to the south. Farmland extends to the south. There are several wind turbines about one kilometre away.
The site slopes slightly east to west. It is around 45 metres above sea level.
No specific biotope type, mainly mesophilic grassland, parts of an active gravel quarry reach into the plan area from the east and north.

The racks are anchored to the ground by means of piles connected to the module tables with support struts.
Monofacial modules were installed.
Gravel paths were laid in the area.
The grid-shaped design, in which the module tables are clustered in rectangles, and the skylark windows within the system are special features.
Management
The site is grazed as required, sometimes on a parcel-by-parcel basis.
Equalisation measures
The following measures were implemented:
- Unsealing of the soil (2015)
- Planting measure (2016)
- Creation of habitat structures (harvest, deadwood and earth piles) (2015 and 2016)
The compensatory measures serve open land species such as the little ringed plover, corn bunting and wheatear.
Additional details are included in the development plan.
