Solar park Büttel 1

ENERPARC AG's Büttel 1 solar park has been in operation since January 2023 and is located in Schleswig-Holstein, not far from the River Elbe and the town of Brunsbüttel. It has an area of 36 hectares.

Surroundings

The Büttel 1 solar park is located around one kilometre north of the Elbe. A large oil processing plant is located to the west. The Büttel 2 solar park is located to the south, separated only by the B5 and a small canal. Another solar park borders the site to the east. To the north, the A5 motorway is only about 100 metres away.

The facility is located three metres below sea level on flat terrain.

Description of the racks

The frame is anchored to the ground by ramming posts fitted with support struts.

Management

Mowing

The Büttel solar park is maintained by grazing on a plot-by-plot basis. Alternating ditch maintenance is also carried out in order to preserve habitats for woody plants and reed breeders.
