Free SonneSammeln webinar on 14 October 2026

Agri-photovoltaics can play a key role in combining agricultural use with renewable electricity generation. Whilst the land continues to be used primarily for agriculture, solar power is generated at the same time. This opens up opportunities for more efficient land use – but also raises legal and practical questions.

With the planned EEG 2027 the Fundamentally changing the framework conditions for agri-PV. The next SonneSammeln webinar will focus on the changes that are planned and the issues that project developers, the agricultural sector and local authorities will need to bear in mind in future.

What can you expect?

Solicitor Alexandra Thiel from agrilex provides an overview of the planned legislative changes to the EEG 2027 and explains what impact these will have on agri-PV projects.

Next, we’ll look at how this is put into practice: Thies Jensen, Head of Land Development at Wattmanufactur, reports on the operation of one of Germany’s largest agri-PV installations. The focus is on experiences with cultivation and harvesting at large-scale installations.

Another initiative from Bernhard Strohmayer, Head of Renewable Energy at the Federal Association for New Energy Economy, puts the current political debate surrounding agri-PV into context.

Following this, there is An opportunity to ask questions via the chat and to strike up a conversation with the speakers.
